The BT Race to Infinity is using a really cool digital mapping format. It is sometimes slow to load, but we reckon that is due to the slow broadband speeds we have here anyway.

But it does make me wonder if the suppliers of the mapping, Maps International had thought to optimise the site for communities like ours.  The map is supplied by the parent company Lovell Johns.

Mapping has come a very long way in a very short time. Stuff like this was what we expected to see in programs like Star Trek. It came upon us sooner than we might have expected.
